Sacred texts, definition and study. A-Z index of Cognitio.
Sacred texts are documents or literary works considered sacred by religions and spiritual movements. Historically, the sacred texts have assumed different characters, but the fundamental mythology is mostly about the origin of the cosmogony, that of man or a mythical and divinized master.
Another type of sacred books concerns rites and ceremonies, a third the divine rules or laws. Although ancient civilizations have produced manuscript texts for many centuries, the first printed script for a wide spread was the Sutra of Diamond, an Indian Buddhist text printed in China in 868. Attitudes to sacred texts differ from religion to religion: some religions make their written texts available with the utmost freedom, while others argue that sacred secrets must remain hidden to everyone except the loyal and the initiated (esotericism); others still do both, making some texts public and reserving others to a restricted circle of initiates. The theory of the ancient astronauts is the set of theories that hypothesize a contact between extraterrestrial civilizations and ancient human civilizations, such as Sumerians, Egyptians, ancient Indian civilization and pre-Columbian civilizations, and seemingly to support this theory there are many references in all known sacred texts:
“At that time there were the giants on earth and even after, when the children of God joined the daughters of men, which made them children.” (Genesis, chapter 6 v. 4)
Who were these giants? And what is hidden behind the distinction between “the sons of God” and “the children of man”? What did the ancient Greeks say about the deus ex machina the god of the machine, was it perhaps a deity that came down from a car or something technologically advanced? If one also analyzes Ezekiel with footsteps 43,4 it is evident that such a prophet had experienced some kind of alien contact.
In fact, Ezekiel, Enoch, and Elijah were among the first men to experience an experience on board space ships.
In Sacred Scriptures, as in other sacred texts, there are many descriptions of alien spaceships made with the knowledge of the age, which are surprising for their descriptive precision, such that the descriptions of these spaceships are perfectly coincident with alien spaceships scientifically documented in recent centuries.
The first to officially claim that the Sacred Scriptures contained UFO episodes were the US astronomer Morris Jessup and the Soviet scientist Matest Agrest.
For example, the circumstances of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah recall the mind of a nuclear explosion as it could have been described by an observer experienced in ancient times; in particular, the shock wave caused by the nuclear explosion wiped out the salt marshes of the Dead Sea and invested Lot’s wife, transforming it into a “statue of salt.”
Moreover, it is too obvious that you do not have to turn around to look at the damaging light of the nuclear explosion. The Bible speaks of patriarchs, like Enoch, who are captured into heaven by mysterious flying objects, and the repeated appearance of mysterious men at the service of God who are endowed with high technology, as evidenced by the episode in which these mysterious men strike with the dazzling rays of the despicable people who wanted to enter Lot’s house.
In Enoch’s apocryphal books, he talks about Enoch who is brought into space by astronomers and meets Angels astronauts, who show him the earth seen from space, and other “white” beings similar but not the same to men (presumably the aliens called “Grays “).
UFO vehicles in the Sacred Scriptures are described as: the chariot of fire and the turbines that capture the sky in prophecy Elijah, the glory of God that appears in the desert to the patriarch Ezekiel, the mysterious column of fire (which, by day, resembles a cloud ) indicating to Moses and the Jews the way of exodus, the cigars formed spaceship whose passage opens the waters of the Red Sea, and the record pointing to the way to the kings Magi at the birth of Jesus Christ, exchanged by many to the comet star, and yet hundreds of citations, including feathered serpents, pearls, pipes, celestial wagons and clouds: all UFOs described as best they could of people of those times.
So Abraham saw at night a passage of two mysterious vehicles that he described as a burning torch and a steaming oven, in fact a classic UFO tubular luminous and an even more classic light flying disk with the famous mist surrounding it. So the prophet Ezekiel on the Kebar River commented on a flying saucer with the knowledge of the time: a cloud with a wheel on top of a dome and under the landing gear.
Also, you must not forget a real alien food: the manna. From ancient research done on the Bible, testimonies of the presence of extraterrestrials on our planet have come to the fore in the days of the Old Testament. The Bible is not the only text to tell about visiting these visitors, there are great historical works telling of these beings. An example is found in Hindu beliefs. One of the three great Hindu gods was of celestial origin. Ramayana is a scripture that tells Rama one of Vishnu’s incarnations and is full of stories of astronomers moved by forces unknown to human nature.
Below, the description of what seems to be a modern UFO:
“At dawn, Rama picked up the celestial chariot … and got ready to leave. Self-propelled was that chariot … immense and finely painted. It rose in the air and made a loud melodious noise. “
Another piece quotes: “The chariot … which resembles the sun … was carried by the mighty Ravan, that excellent chariot that goes wherever you want is ready for you. It looks like a cloud shining in the sky. ” The three-month-long Mahabharata poem written in Sanskrit makes precise alerts to the UFO phenomenon: “A flaming missile … emitting a brightness of a smoke-free fire …”
The rocket launcher, radiates light, is driven by a circular reflective device and leaves a trail of incandescent heat. Ancient Tibetan books speak of flying objects that emit a glow and were used by people of a certain religious rank. Returning to References in the Bible in Hebrews 1: 2, it reads:
“(GOD) has spoken to us in these days by his Son, who has designated the heir of all things, with which he also made all the worlds.”
It is clear that we are not talking about a single world.
In Hebrews 11: 3 “Through faith we understand that the worlds have been formed by the word of God, so that the things that are seen were not made of visible things.”
The Gospel of John 14: 2 states: “There are many dwellings in my Father’s house, if I had not said so. I’m going to prepare the place for you. ” It is not logical to think that Christ was the only inhabitant of his world. In John 8:23 he finds: “He replied, You are from here, I am up there. You are of this world, I am not of this world. ” It is from this that we are of this world, while He was born on this world, but it was not of this. It is a point that indicates how a being of a more evolved world has been offered as a volunteer to be born here on Earth, with the sole purpose of guiding and helping humanity in its spiritual evolution.
