The unsolved mystery of the giants of Egyptian sarcophagi of Saqqara Serapeu. Huge granite sarcophagi weighing 70 tons placed in narrow niches dug into the depths of the earth. It is the riddle of Saqqara, one of the oldest archaeological sites and vast ancient Egypt. How was it possible to place these mammoth artifacts in such a confined space? And most importantly, why?

Located on the west bank of the Nile, about 30 km south of Cairo, it is the site of Saqqara, one of the oldest burial areas and vast around ancient Egypt.

Immense necropolis towering pyramid of Teti, the first king of the Sixth Dynasty of Egypt. Pharaoh built the pyramid and the nearby mortuary temple during his reign, more than 4000 years ago.

The pyramid of Teti is very important, as it contains the most ancient inscriptions in the world, part of the “Pyramid Texts”, a collection of ancient religious writings dating back to 2400 BC, containing passages of Osiris, the Egyptian god of the afterlife, and instructions on how to prepare the pharaoh remains ahead of his ascent to heaven after death.

In the pyramid texts, everything revolves around the star, the king becomes a star, and ascending to heaven to reach Osiris-Orion in the sky. What is important to emphasize is that the ancient Egyptians believed that in an era called “ZP TPJ” (usually transcribed as Zep Tepi, literally “the first time”), the gods had lived among them, and then disappear again. What they want to say the pyramid texts is that man can be reunited again to the gods. To do this, we have to cross the death: we are talking about an extra-dimensional journey of the soul. The truth behind the Templars and the Masonic mysteries.

Egyptologists call these tombs monuments, but the Egyptians were not tombs, but doors to the afterlife. It was through these structures that the king began his journey to the afterlife, running into obstacles, dangers and threats. If he had passed this threat, he would have access to the realm of Osiris. Remained undisturbed under the desert sands for centuries, the Saqqara ruins guard the true mystery of the whole site, an enigma at just 800 meters from the pyramid of Teti. Inside, they are positioned huge granite sarcophagi believed to have been transported from the city of Aswan about 960 km away. They number in the dozens and weigh about 70 tons each, each carved from a single block of granite, polished so that we can mirror.

But the real mystery is how the ancient Egyptians were able to transport these huge boulders for kilometers, to place them in the narrow underground labyrinth of the Serapeum. For what purpose? It is a real brain teaser. You have to imagine the ancient Egyptians who dig kilometers and kilometers of underground tunnels in the rock, obtaining the sides niches. Then, they travel for days to reach the city of Aswan to extract from the rock as hard granite that exists and transport it, in some way unknown to us, down to these underground tunnels. Some speculate that in fact the Serapeum of Saqqara is much older than you think and it’s just been re-used for sacred purposes by the Egyptians lived at the time of the Sixth Dynasty. According to the theorists of the Ancient Astronauts, the sarcophagi if they are straight since pre-dynastic, when the “gods” were here on Earth. If so, the sarcophagi may have had a function to us completely unknown and that we could hardly understand with current knowledge. The Serapeum of Saqqara deliver a message to current generations yet to be deciphered and that could reveal the true origin and destiny of mankind. Some advocates of this theory, including myself, in fact I just think that these ancient tombs were the Tombs of the Anunnaki.
