The Lubbock sighting is a case of mass UFO sighting. It consisted in the sighting of a formation of lights that flew over the city of Lubbock, Texas. The phenomenon manifested itself several times by ‘August-September of 1951. The sighting was widely publicized at the national level and is considered one of the first cases of mass sightings of unidentified flying objects in the USA. The first sighting occurred on the evening of August 25, 1951 by three professors from Texas Technological College. The three men were sitting in the courtyard of the house of one of them when around 21 saw a group of lights (20 to 30), as bright as stars but larger in size, which rapidly crossed the sky. They immediately excluded the possibility that they were meteors. While still arguing, they saw a second set of lights with characteristics similar to those seen earlier. The next day the teacher told what had happened to the local newspaper, the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal. Following the article, three women claimed to have observed the same lights the night of the sighting by the professors. Even a German professor of Texas Technological College, Carl Hemminger, reported to have observed bright objects. A few days later, on the evening of August 30, a freshman from Texas Technological College, Carl Hart, was lying on the bed and looking out the window he saw the sky go in a group of about 20 white lights. Hart took his camera and ran into the courtyard of the house of his parents, to photograph the lights if they were passed another time; there was a new step of the lights and Hart could take 5 photos, which were published by the local newspaper. A few days later, on the evening of September 5, there was a new sighting, yet by the professors who first observed the lights. The three teachers were with two other colleagues when they observed the transit of 12-15 lights. The professor. Mead reported that it was circular objects, smaller than the full moon, with a slightly bluish-green fluorescent color. The professors estimated that the luminous objects were located at a height of about 600 meters and moved at a speed higher than 900 Km / h. On the facts there was an investigation by of U.S. Air Force. The laboratory of the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base analyzed photos of Hart, and concluded that it could not prove that they were rigged. In my point of view, this video below is a clear example of paranormal activity in that area.
