The Anunnaki appear in the Babylonian epic Enuma Eliš. After the creation of humanity, the god Marduk the Anunnaki divided into two groups of three hundred gods each and assigned to the first group to the second heaven and the earth. In gratitude, the Anunnaki built a new home for the gods Marduk, Enlil and Ea: the temple of Esagila, which equaled the Apsu. Enki is a god of the Sumerian mythology, later known as Ea in Akkadian and Babylonian mythology. It was originally identified as the patron deity of Eridu, the religious capital of ancient Mesopotamia. Later the influence of his cult spread throughout Mesopotamia, in the region of Canaan and among the Hittites and Hurrians. It was the deity of crafts, fine, water, sea, lakes, wisdom and creation. He was an associate at the southern end of the constellations called stars of Ea. Its sacred number is 40. A vast number of myths about Enki have been collected by many excavation sites, extending from southern Iraq to the east coast. His first appearances can be found in cuneiform inscriptions throughout the region, mainly dating from the third millennium of the Hellenistic. His myths seem to have affected some biblical stories and the Koran. The main temple of Enki is called E-abzu, which means abzu temple, a temple of the ziggurat type surrounded by the Euphrates marshes near the ancient coast of Eridu in the Persian Gulf. He was the guardian of the divine powers called Me, the gifts of civilization. The cosmogenic myth commonly spread in the land of Sumer, was that of Hierogamy, a sacred marriage in which the divine principles in the form of dualistic opposites came together as male and female to give birth to the cosmos. According to the Sumerian mythology, Enki helped mankind to survive the deluge that was thrown on the world with the aim of destroying the man. In my point of view, as usual we are faced with a very important deities of the time, but every time when it comes to divine affair is forgotten, I do not understand why, I would like to deepen this very concept of God for that time , because they were considered of the gods? perhaps because they had supernatural powers? If so then perhaps we are faced with the ethnicities other than human, perhaps Anunnaki?
