Ajanta Center Indian Union, in the State of Maharashtra, 80 km NE of Aurangabad. In its vicinity is a complex of caves cut or adapted in an almost vertical wall of a ravine. There are 29 caves (numbered by the Archaeological Survey of India) in an official manner, dug on the southern slope of the ravine.
